WE HAVE LOVELY QUALITY ORPINGTONS

IN BOTH LARGE AND BANTAMS

I have been into chickens thoughout my life. Starting by being born on a farm in Norwich and there was of course, those there chickens, not anything special but the normal farmyard chickens.!!!!Then at the tender age of 8, I looked after my first pedigree chickens.  They were the large lovely brown egg layers, the large Marans.

Over some 35 years ago, I had my first show birds, these being the large White Sussex, another good egglayer too.  They were aptly called "Breakfast", "Dinner and Tea".  Needless to say, they were not for the pot.  I have had experience with a lot of different breeds of chickens over the years, from the true bantams such as Pekins of which I had 16 different colours, to the large soft breeds of the Cochins and Orpingtons.

Eventually I settled over the years to one main breed being my lovely friendly Orpingtons, which I have now had for the past 10 years.  I still keep my fancy fowl of Sultans and large frizzles.  I show my birds mainly at the big shows which are of course the NATIONAL & the FEDERATION.  I love these two big shows as you meet your fellow exhibitors to chat to and catch up on any news, the atmosphere is tremendous.

My birds have won many firsts, gaining cards, rosettees, and trophies for Best of Breed and Best True Bantam.

HERE IS ONE OF MY LOVELY BLUE BANTAM HENS.  I WILL BE BREEDING FROM HER THIS YEAR.  I ALSO HOPE TO SHOW HER TOO!
